An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Night Shift Team Manager at our Food Service Distribution Centre in Needham Market! Our client, a well-established family run foodservice business operating for over 30 years, is seeking a motivated individual to join their team. If you have experience in managing a team and are passionate about delivering quality service, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Night Team to ensure timely delivery of customer orders in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Get involved in hands-on work within the warehouse.
  • Take and input customer orders, pick, replenish stock, and load vehicles.
  • Drive operational key performance indicators (KPIs) related to team and individual performance, health and safety, accuracy, quality, and customer service.
  • Foster strong relationships and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Take charge of opening and/or closing the warehouse on a daily basis.
  • Ensure training within the team adheres to health and safety standards and company procedures.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in cultivating a Continuous Improvement culture and implementing new processes.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns and maintain open communication at all levels.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Management position, preferably in a multi-temperature environment (not essential).
  • Ability to maintain high health and safety standards.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and possesses a "Can-Do" attitude.
  • Flexible in working hours to meet business requirements.
  • Organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of HR processes.
  • IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
  • Experience operating MHE, Counterbalance, and/or Reach (desirable).
  • Full driving licence (desirable).
