A new opportunity has arisen for a Motor Engineer to work for a successful and growing Motor Engineering Services Company, to multiple clients within the Motor Industry.
The role will allow you the opportunity to expand your engineering skills and knowledge by engineering a variety of different vehicles, both new and registered vehicles.
You will utilise manufacturer and common industry systems, applying your experience and technical knowledge to review repair costs and repair methodology. This will not only include authorising and challenging repair costs but also estimating damaged vehicles via images and producing an engineer's report.
This role can be performed fully working from home or on a hybrid basis, split between working in the office and at home.

The Role of the Motor Engineer will include:
- Handling your own allocation of engineering work by reviewing images at desktop
- Estimate and Engineer vehicle damage from clear images and create an Engineers report for multiple work types such as total loss vehicles and third party outlays
- Review estimates received from a variety of estimating platforms. Always looking to agree an accurate, fair and reasonable repair methods and cost accordingly
- Instruct physical inspections accurately as well as quality checking the returned report and submitting these to your clients
- Engage and interact where necessary with all stakeholders including: Clients, Vehicle owners, Your colleagues
- Process work within agreed timescales and adhere to all contractual and procedural guidelines
To be successful in the Motor Engineer role you will need to demonstrate:
- Motor Industry knowledge and experience in repairing motor vehicles
- Previous estimating and/or Engineering experience
- Achievement of cost negotiation whilst maintaining manufacturer standards
- The use of multiple systems involved in vehicle repair, such as Audatex and Escribe
- Personable and approachable with good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent personal organisation, administration, numeracy and literacy skills
- Successfully applying good negotiation skills
