Our client is based in modern offices located in the centre of a historical Suffolk town, minutes’ walk from main bus station with routes servicing the surrounding area, or free parking available also very close to the office.

The company, a firm of chartered certified accountants within a short commute from Hadleigh, who have won and been nominated for multiple industry awards including “best Independent Firm of the Year for East of England”, has engaged our services to recruit a Payroll Administrator.

In this full-time, permanent position, your role as Payroll Administrator will involve:

  • The preparation of weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly payrolls for a wide range of clients, in size, sector and complexity.
  • Preparation of CIS Returns on a monthly basis, from information supplied by clients.
  • Preparation and uploading of pension reports to various pension provider platforms.
  • Company secretarial work, specifically the filing of clients Confirmation Statements and other documents at Companies House.
  • Regular liaison with clients, answering queries and giving advice where required

The role comes with an attractive salary of up to £33k, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), free parking locally, and pension.

We are open to considering all payroll gurus from any walk of life – practice, bureau or you could be in an inhouse payroll post in industry looking for a fresh challenge.

You will need a detailed knowledge of all the appropriate processes involved in the administration of such payroll as mentioned above, with proven success in said roles.

Given the nature of their business, and that the payroll processes are for the firms’ clients, you will need strong people skills, able to communicate effectively to external and internal contacts at all levels, with a degree of diplomacy and confidence.
