A client of ours in in Sudbury, Suffolk is seeking an Immediate detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to assist with payroll administration for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.

This is a temporary - permanent position, paying 12.99 - 15.59 per hour (25,000 - 30,000 per annum) depending on experience.

Working Monday - Thursday 9:00-5:30 (1 hour lunch) and Friday 9:00-5:00 (1 hour lunch).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and pension regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and process employee changes.
  • Handle payroll tax filings and reconciliations.
  • Process and upload pension contributions accurately and in a timely manner in line with pension scheme requirements.
  • Assist clients with payroll inquiries.
  • Construction industry scheme (CIS) returns.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in payroll processing, preferably in an accounting firm.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, BrightPay).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Education & Experience:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience; CIPP certification is a plus.
