Permanent Physiotherapy Role

The Chantry is a specialised neurological centre located in Ipswich. It supports individuals in thriving after experiencing a brain injury and those with various neurological conditions such as Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. Their commitment lies in providing innovative neurorehabilitation, long-term complex care, and effective disability management to enhance the quality of life for people with acquired brain injuries and other neurological conditions.

Your role is to provide a senior-level physiotherapy service by assessing, implementing (either personally or through junior staff), and evaluating person-centred care programs as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

**MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

- Assess service users' needs with a focus on enhancing their independence and physical function.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments using analytical skills to create tailored rehabilitation and treatment plans.

- Promote choice in clinical practice by reviewing processes and encouraging service users to express concerns or complaints.

- Communicate effectively with health and social care professionals for coordinated occupational therapy delivery.

- Manage the prescription, provision, and maintenance of equipment within available resources.

- Keep up-to-date written and electronic records, ensuring sensitive information is securely stored.

- Demonstrate clinical leadership and encourage clinical supervision among colleagues.

- Share your expertise with staff through formal and informal teaching methods.

- Lead localized training for Brankind staff to ensure effective physiotherapy interventions in care.

- Ensure a safe working environment that respects service user confidentiality and occasionally undertake additional tasks as needed.

ABOUT YOU:

• Diploma/BSc in Physiotherapy

• Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council

• Experience of working in a relevant setting

• Demonstrable experience of using evidence based practice and outcome measures

• Skilled knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning
