The Role - What You'll Be Doing
As a Concrete Technician, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality testing and structural investigations across a wide range of UK infrastructure projects. This is a dual role involving both site work and office-based reporting. You'll be expected to:
路Carry out concrete sampling and testing in accordance with UKAS standards
路Operate site hand tools and testing equipment confidently and safely
路Work nights, weekends, and stay away from home when required
路Record detailed site findings including sketches, notes, and data logs
路Deliver concise site briefings and communicate effectively with project teams
路Work safely at height, in confined spaces, and over water
路Assist in structural inspections (experience here would be a major plus)
路Produce accurate reports using standard IT systems and industry software

What You'll Need to Succeed
路Minimum 2 years' experience in concrete testing
路UKAS-accredited background in materials testing
路Strong attention to detail and communication skills
路Comfortable in physically demanding environments
路Fully IT literate and confident with data entry and reporting
路Full UK driving licence
路Experience in structural inspections is highly desirable
