We are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a vibrant school in the Ipswich area. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in managing classrooms with high numbers of pupils eligible for pupil premium (PP) and those with English as an additional language (EAL). Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all pupils, with a particular focus on PP and EAL students.
  • Assess and record pupils' progress, preparing them for key stage 2 SATs.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff and the SENCO to support pupils' educational and social development.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and strategies to support their learning at home.
  • Participate in and contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Year 4 Teacher or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of PP and EAL pupils.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative and effective lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
