We are seeking an experienced Procurement Business Partner for an interim role based in Ipswich. This is a great opportunity where you'll use your skills to deliver strategic procurement advice and commercial services. You'll work closely with stakeholders to align with their business goals, overcome challenges, and drive value for all involved.

Description

  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, acting as a business partner to help solve commercial challenges and identify opportunities while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for nominated categories, ensuring value for money, cost savings, and the realization of social value benefits.

  • Lead the creation and execution of savings plans by analyzing past, current, and future expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value-added benefits.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to explore more effective sourcing methods and present business cases for significant procurement projects that require additional resources.

  • Develop a provider cost database to support price negotiations, establish fair inflationary uplifts, and guide clients on cost parameters for tenders.

  • Provide tactical procurement support and advice on ad hoc procurement projects, ensuring value for money and wise spending decisions.

Profile

A successful Procurement Business Partner should have:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience, with a professional procurement qualification (CIPS or similar) and in-depth technical procurement knowledge.

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage relationships at all levels, both internally and with external suppliers.

  • Proven experience in senior-level procurement within large, complex organisations, with the ability to develop and implement business processes aligned to strategic objectives.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to analyse data, prepare business cases, and present reports to senior stakeholders.
