Are you a proactive Project Manager looking to lead critical infrastructure projects and drive successful delivery? This role offers the chance to manage civil engineering contracts worth £60M per annum, overseeing a dynamic team and ensuring high-quality execution.
You will be leading multiple projects from pre-construction to completion, overseeing planning, methodology development, and cost control. Manage infrastructure works, including power cable installations, substation construction (up to 132kV), and refurbishment projects. The role is offered on a hybrid working basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage designated project work to ensure successful completion in line with safety, technical, and legislative policies and procedures.
- Undertake site visits, attend kick-off meetings, monitor progress, and provide regular updates.
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to meet key program dates.
- Execute project execution plans aligned with the proposed delivery strategy.
- Provide visual leadership and promote alliancing behavior, maintaining proactive working relationships with the Client.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the power industry with significant technical and practical experience.
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to providing solutions.
- NEC 3 contract experience with proficiency in planning and programming.
- Experience in substation projects, project management involvement, and HV electrical and civils knowledge (including substation, power cabling, and electrical fit-out work).
- Full UK driving license.
- NRWSA experience is required.
