React Native Developer - £40K - £45K DOE - Ipswich - Hybrid / Remote

A software technology company are hiring for a React Native Developer to join their team. As a business they help organisations innovate, scale and transform with bespoke digital products and services.

As a React Native Developer you will build performant mobile apps across both the iOS and Android platforms which will be utilised within the med tech industry.  You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications.

Responsibilities

  • Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Project Managers and team members.
  • Reach out to the open-source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
  • Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
  • Understanding of Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with Mobile products and services.

 Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript language, including ES6+ syntax.
  • Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest.
  • Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code.
  • Experience with release management on both platforms.
  • Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.
  • Experience with Class and functional components.
  • Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle Android Studio.
  • Familiarity with project collaboration tools like Agile methodology and Git .
  • Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage.
  • Experience working with Swift, Objective C, and Java is a plus

Ideally, we are looking for applicants who are local to Ipswich and willing to work from the office 2 days per week. We will also consider candidates on a fully remote basis within the UK.

Salary is up to £45K DOE + benefits
