The Role:
As a Mechanical Bias Engineer, you'll be at the heart of the action, ensuring state-of-the-art production equipment operates seamlessly. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, reduce downtime, and keep things running like clockwork.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepping and setting up cold end equipment to meet exact specifications for each job change.
- Fine-tuning, adjusting, and optimising machinery to keep production running at peak efficiency.
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise output.
- Modifying and upgrading equipment to improve performance and reliability.
- Following SOPs and Health & Safety regulations to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
- What We're Looking For:
- Time-served mechanical engineer with hands-on experience in a fast-moving production environment.
- Multi-skilled mindset - experience with various engineering disciplines is a bonus!
- Basic electrical knowledge (a plus but not essential).
- Tech-savvy - comfortable using computers for reporting and diagnostics.
- Problem-solving pro - able to think on your feet and keep things running smoothly.
- Team player with strong communication skills - because great things happen when we work together!
- A continuous improvement mindset - Lean Six Sigma (LSS) knowledge is a big plus!
