Our client is looking for a Transport Administrator to join their team, within their Distribution Centre. This is an exciting and varied role where each day is different, and you will progress to become a Transport planner. This role will be responsible for supporting the Transport Manager with all transport planning activities from booking deliveries to debriefing the drivers.

Roles and Responsibilities for the Transport Administrator include:

  • Ensure customer booking in requirements are met and references input into orders ready for delivery.
  • Dealing with all delivery enquiries within a timely manner.
  • Conducting thorough driver's brief at the start of the shift and de-brief at the end of the shift.
  • Collating all POD's and investigating any part or incorrect deliveries.
  • Working closely with hauliers locally and in key strategic geographic locations to achieve cost effective solutions for deliveries where necessary.

To be successful in the role of the Transport Administrator must have:

  • Previous experience of working within administration with sound geographical knowledge is beneficial
  • Great accuracy, attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and great time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
