A leading restructuring and advisory firm on the Isle of Man is expanding its team and seeking a qualified professional for the role of Assistant Manager.

About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and experienced professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in managing a variety of assignments, including Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Members Voluntary Liquidations, Receiverships, and other insolvency arrangements. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring that each assignment meets quality expectations and compliance deadlines, applying your restructuring case management expertise to new and existing engagements, and contributing to the preparation and delivery of client proposals. Additionally, you will manage and motivate team members, oversee performance, and help develop new opportunities.

This position is ideal for someone who is ACA/ACCA qualified, or currently working towards a similar professional qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of insolvency assignments within set timeframes and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date work files for each case.
  • Provide support to Managers and Partners on specific projects as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and key intermediaries.
  • Supervise junior team members and offer training as required.

Essential Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Honours degree.
  • ACA, ACCA, or a similar professional qualification.
  • 1-2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Willingness to study for JIEB.
  • Prior insolvency experience in a professional setting.
  • Strong communication skills and financial analysis abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
