THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY IN A GROWING COMPANY

Our client is a family-owned construction firm providing both specialist and general construction services. They are looking for an administrator who has some administration experience, preferably within the construction industry.

You will be working as part of an incredibly hard-working team of driven and motivated professionals with your main aim being to ensure all site projects run effectively by supporting them with administrative assistance.

This role will have the following focus:

  • Keeping accurate records of deliveries, PO’s and orders placed
  • Matching and processing invoices on Sage and Construction software
  • Data entry on Excel (for cost analysis & reporting)
  • Liaising with site personnel, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Arrange meetings and take minutes
  • Office filing, maintaining and updating records
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
  • General ad-hoc administration
  • Working closely with the Office Manager ensuring the smooth running of the office

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day admin tasks - including processing invoices on Sage accounting software, allocating charges to the correct project and purchase order management
  • Processing orders for sites, ensuring they have everything the need to progress their projects on time and chasing where needed - i.e. welfare, skips, materials etc.
  • Working with the Office Manager in keeping accurate staffing records for all operatives, training programmes & certification, maintaining Head Office welfare areas, IT equipment, HR and annual leave requests etc.
  • Ensuring all files are kept up to date, presentable and archived as needed
  • Ensuring daily duties are met to ensure smooth and efficient processes - i.e. processing delivery tickets, ordering materials and supplies, ensuring the photocopier and stationery areas are fully stocked
  • Producing signage and posters where required for site and welfare facilities
  • Diary management & admin support for the MD, Technical and QS team

About You:

To be successful in this role you will be IT literate and able to communicate confidently with employees, customers and subcontractors.

  • Experience of administration in a construction environment would be advantageous but full training will be given
