Join a well-established Insurance Broking firm with over 40 years of success in the industry. We are seeking a Commercial Account Handler to complement their team and contribute to the development of the company. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to thrive in a growing firm.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work closely with management to broker new and existing business, including renewals.
- Engage in detailed discussions and negotiations with clients to understand their insurance needs and tailor policies accordingly.
- Maintain and manage client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Utilise industry-specific software to efficiently handle client data and insurance contracts.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and compliance regulations to provide accurate and effective service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, particularly in transacting Commercial Insurance contracts for both new business and renewals.
- Progress towards or achievement of Cert CII qualifications is essential.
- Strong computer and keyboard skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with OpenGI (MISYS) is beneficial.
- Excellent time and work management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Effective file management skills and strict adherence to FCA compliance procedures.
- Customer-focused with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Technical knowledge in broking, including familiarity with Construction, Commercial SME Packages, Motor Fleet, PI, Cyber Liability, Property Owners, and Liability contracts.
