Role: Quantity Surveyor
Contract: 6+ months
Location: Heathrow Airport
Rate: 330 per day (PAYE Inside IR35 - Paid via an umbrella co.)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in infrastructure projects and the NEC suite of contracts to join a large engineering consultancy at Heathrow Airport. The Quantity Surveyor will be working on a wide range of projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of Europe's busiest Airport.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the management of procurement, contract negotiations and post contract commercial management across a capital works program. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Administration of a robust commercial management process
- Work closely with external suppliers for all procurement and commercial matters
- Take responsibility for supplier management throughout each stage of the procurement process
- Ensure the delivery of all works are compliant with the relevant legislation whilst ensure the most commercially viable approach is taken
Quantity Surveyors considering this position will need:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in infrastructure projects
- Demonstable experience in a variety of procurement and contracting models e.g. NEC
- Experience working on large infrastructure projects, interfacing with project managers, planners, risk managers and the project controls team
This is a contract position with a rate of 330 per day.
