Teacher Assistant - Full time - West London - November start
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant looking to embark on an exciting job opportunity? Then look no further!
We are currently seeking a full time Teacher Assistant to help support young adults through education and set them up for life after college. You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday. You will be required to work 42 weeks per year but get paid for 52 weeks per year.

This special needs school are committed to empowering autistic young people aged 16-25 by coaching them through education and adapting each teaching style to better suit the individuals needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to learners so they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience sense of achievement whilst also promoting their Independence and social inclusion.
- Encourage self regulation to support access to learning and be willing to alter your own behavioural styles to best support learner engagement.
- Train in and consistently apply Positive Behaviour Support strategies / handling techniques
Person Specification:
- Interest in, and/or knowledge of, autism
- To have the physical and emotional resilience to work with autistic children/YP who may have behaviours that challenge
- Willing to work with autistic children or young adults with learning disabilities
