Salary:£35,000 per annum. Based on experience. Full time
Reporting to: Head Chef
Location: Fowlescombe Farm, Ugborough, Devon, PL21 0HW
Role: Sous Chef
- Assisting the Head Chef creating dishes showcasing the quality of the produce
- Management & quality control of service according to the guidelines set by the Head Chef.
- Leading the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence. Leading by example in composure, punctuality, skill, organisation, etc.
- Be part of the creative process and work to develop future dishes and menus.
- Understand and consistently comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness standard for front and back of house kitchen and storage areas
- Follow all HACCP & SSOW/SOP.
- Ensure perfect plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Handle, label, store and rotate all products properly.Minimizing waste.
- Follow opening and closing checklist for all kitchen stations. Guide others in following the correct kitchen processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the head chef or manager-on-duty.
