Part Time Human Resources Officer - Ivybridge - £30-32,000 FTE

Well Placed HR have been exclusively engaged by a new client, an established community services business with close ties to the NHS. The organisation seeks to recruit a part time HR Officer to join them in a newly created role. The post is offered as permanent, part time contract anticipated to operate over a 20 hour working week (working patterns to be discussed and greed with the successful candidate).

Working closely alongside an experienced HR Manager but liaising with department heads and colleagues throughout the business, the vacancy represents an exceptional opportunity for an HR Officer to develop their skills across a broad remit, supported by a friendly and long standing team. Key responsibilities to include:

- Plan, implement and develop high quality HRM controls across the organisation

- Act as a key point of contact for employee and management people management queries

- Work closely with senior management team and a wide variety of line managers to advise on HR and people management policy, and employment legislation

- Work with recruitment and hiring managers to support and coordinate site recruitment projects

- Manage documentation, casework and HR policy relating to grievances, absence management, and performance management

- Provide sensitive advice to line managers in matters relating to exit interviews, equality and diversity, and probation reviews

- Work with finance team to administer company payroll and pension processing

- Coordinate and develop learning and development initiatives

- Play a key role in developing HR policy and procedures

- Ensure Health & Safety objectives are met

- Support the organisation’s equality & diversity initiatives

For this project we’re seeking an experienced candidate with at least 18 months of recently gained experience in an HR generalist position. Candidate’s may be qualified by vocational experience or working to CIPD level 3 or above. The role works within a busy, experienced team so excellent communication and IT skills essential. Experience gained within a not for profit environment advantageous but not essential.
