Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality woodland management and forestry contracting services to both new and existing clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare client budgets, generate reports, and oversee work programs and grant applications.
- Supervise and manage productive forestry operations.
- Lead the planning and execution of new woodland creation projects.
- Collaborate with local teams in forestry, business development, forest investment, and harvesting.
- Manage and expand a diverse client portfolio, ensuring exceptional service and long-term value.
- Focus on delivering top-tier forest management while enhancing the client experience.
Required/Desirable Experience:
- Proven experience in forestry or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of commercial practices and relationship management.
- Knowledge of upland conifer forest management.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial and client relationship management abilities.
- Business development experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with the UK Forester Standard and UKWAS.
- Knowledge of Forestry Grant Schemes (desirable).
- Professional membership (e.g., Institute of Chartered Foresters) is a plus.
- Full UK driving license (required for regional travel).
