Conveyancing Secretary / Assistant

Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire

Office-Based (Mon-Fri, 08:30 - 17:00 with a 1-hour lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:

  • ?You will be the backbone of the department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Your main responsibility will be to assist the team by managing the administrative side of property transactions, allowing them to focus on the legal work.
  • You'll be involved in tasks such as preparing and organising documentation, liaising with clients and other parties, managing case files, and ensuring that everything runs according to schedule. This is a busy and varied role that requires someone proactive, detail-orientated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preparing, typing, and organising legal documents and correspondence.
  • Communicating with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other third parties to arrange meetings, exchange information, and facilitate property transactions.
  • Ensuring that legal deadlines and processes are followed correctly and promptly.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a conveyancing environment, as a secretary or assistant.
  • A good understanding of the conveyancing process and terminology.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with accuracy and precision.
  • Proficiency in office software, including MS Office and case management systems.
