Position Overview:This role involves teaching Music to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, taking full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education, able to inspire students to achieve their best, and committed to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and support student learning.
  • Assess, record, and report on students' progress and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department's schemes of work.
  • Support students' personal development and encourage their passion for music.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential.
  • Proven experience teaching Music at secondary level, ideally with KS3 and KS4 experience.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and music.
