Customer Services Representative

  • Working hours Mon – Thurs 08.30 - 5pm and 08.30 – 4pm on Fridays.

We are seeking a Customer Services Representative to join our client’s team in Kendal. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our client’s customers, handling a variety of tasks from order processing to problem-solving, and contributing to the smooth operation of the customer service functions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Efficiently process and manage customer orders from entry to delivery.
  • Address general customer enquiries and resolve specific issues.
  • Coordinate with external warehouse providers and delivery/haulage companies.
  • Support account and product managers, assisting them as needed.
  • Cultivate excellent relationships with all external customers.
  • Contribute to the improvement of current practices and the continuous development of the role.
  • Perform office-related tasks and handle the picking, packing, and dispatching of sample and small orders from our Kendal warehouse.
  • Assist in stock takes and other tasks as the role and business evolve.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Polite and effective phone manner.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous along with experience of working within an office environment.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and organise.
  • Analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • A calm and helpful approach to all customer interactions.
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to changes in the role.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • A clean driving licence.
