Job Description:
We're seeking an Employment Specialist to offer dedicated support to job seekers facing various health and personal challenges that hinder their path to employment. Referrals will be received through Community Mental Health teams, and in close collaboration, you'll assist each individual in overcoming their employment barriers while helping them secure meaningful work.

In this role, you'll engage closely with each job seeker, starting with a thorough diagnostic assessment to uncover and address the specific obstacles they face. Together, you'll develop SMART action plans to tackle these barriers, linking customers to both internal and external resources that enhance their skills, self-esteem, and confidence. Your support will extend to helping them apply for jobs, prepare for interviews, and ultimately achieve employment. Your person-centred and approachable style will be key in guiding them toward becoming work-ready. After they've secured a job, you'll continue to offer in-work support to resolve any issues that arise, ensuring the sustainability of their employment.

We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience working with job seekers, as well as those with at least 2 years of relevant experience in providing advice and guidance to unemployed individuals. Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. You will also have access to your own vehicle as this role will be based across the region.
