Join our dedicated team in South Cumbria, where we are seeking a dynamic English & Drama Teacher to inspire and educate secondary school students. This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of the curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach English and Drama to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Utilise effective classroom management skills to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
  • Assess and evaluate studentsā€™ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance teaching practices and learning experiences.
  • Participate in school events and activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching English & Drama at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model displaying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
