Westmorland & Furness Council are seeking passionate and experienced Children & Families Social Workers to join their Support and Protect Team. With two positions based in Kendal and one in Penrith, this is an opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of children and families across the region.

Responsibilities
- Safeguard Children: Undertake statutory duties, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.
- Collaborate with Families: Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families to assess needs and develop effective care plans.
- Case Management: Handle complex cases with confidence, ensuring timely and proportionate interventions.
- Multi-Agency Working: Partner with other professionals to deliver comprehensive and coordinated support.
- Focus on Outcomes: Work towards meaningful, sustainable improvements in the lives of children and families.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Proven track record in statutory children's social work, including safeguarding and court processes.
- Skills: Excellent communication, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices.
