Join our dedicated team in providing exceptional education as a Food Tech Teacher in South Cumbria. This role is ideal for someone with a robust knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Food Technology to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and adhere to curriculum standards.
  • Maintain effective classroom management skills to foster a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate reliability, commitment, and the qualities of a good role model including compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff and contribute to the school community with a positive and proactive attitude.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, and patience when working with children.
