Robert Half is recruiting for a dynamic opportunity with a growing business in South Birmingham. This role is ideal for a part-qualified management accountant looking to advance their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive management accounts.
  • Perform cash book and bank reconciliations, including manual payments through banking software.
  • Manage accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis comparing actual results with forecasts.
  • Compile and submit head office reports on inventory, receivables, sales, and margins.
  • Create a PDF management information pack, detailing schedules for sales, margins, inventory, and working capital.
  • Reconcile balance sheets for trading entities and prepare them for submission to head office.
  • Maintain monthly planning and working files.
  • Oversee vehicle fleet operations, including fuel card management, invoice processing, insurance claims, and vehicle orders.
  • Develop annual vehicle, profit and loss, and balance sheet plans for sales companies.
  • Complete annual statutory accounts for group consolidation.
  • Handle payroll processing and variance analysis.
  • Support the monthly internal controls submission.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a management accounting role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of diligence, numeracy, and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency.
