Robert Half is recruiting for a Qualified Management Accountant to join a large company based in South Birmingham. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a growing but already well established business. You will be managing 3 / 4 team members and working directly for the Regional Financial Controller.

Duties will include:

  • Complete a standardised, fully detailed profit and loss account and balance sheet for submission to Head Office on a monthly basis
  • Post expenses, intercompany recharges, accruals and prepayments
  • Review and analyse all aspects of the monthly results with full explanation of any variance to budget or prior year
  • Production of monthly management accounts pack for management team including statistical data and KPI's on sales, margins, overheads and working capital
  • Production of balance sheet control pack incorporating key financial, operational and procedural controls
  • Ensure daily cash book / bank reconciliation is completed
  • Complete annual budgeting process along with quarterly forecasts (including a monthly update of budget files
  • Contribute to improve finance processes and drive efficiency
  • Support the Credit Control & Purchase Ledger Teams, assisting with queries
  • Mobile phone and Ipad asset management
  • Completion of annual internal statutory accounts package and tax pack for Group consolidation purposes
  • Ensure payroll submissions are processed monthly and variance analysis produced
  • Carry out monthly submission of internal controls and ensure compliance
  • Management for a 3 / 4 team members
  • Maintain fixed asset register and submit capex requests
  • VAT Submissions
  • IFRS16 Submissions

Experience required:

A minimum of 5 years experience working within a management accounting environment, strong organisational and communication skills are necessary with an ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines, diligence and a high level of numeracy and attention to detail being paramount. The individual must have strong excel knowledge.

You must be Qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA
