Assistant Accountant - Solihull, Birmingham - Up to £35,000 - Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end financial processes, including accruals and revenue reconciliations
  • Maintain and update customer accounts and pricing structures within internal systems
  • Generate and issue accurate sales invoices, ensuring compliance with customer requirements
  • Conduct reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity
  • Resolve invoice-related queries and disputes efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Engage proactively with customers to facilitate timely payments
  • Collaborate with the Credit Controller to resolve invoicing discrepancies
  • Support VAT returns and audits, working alongside the Revenue Accountant and Financial Accountant
  • Take on ad-hoc finance tasks to support the business as needed

Who We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or sales ledger role
  • Strong knowledge of invoicing, reconciliations, and credit control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
