Assistant Revenue AccountantRobert Half is seeking an Assistant Revenue Accountant to join a business in South Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a role with a strong analytical focus.
Responsibilities:
- Issue sales invoices to customers in line with their requirements and internal processes, using in-house systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Address any issues, queries, or complaints related to customer invoices promptly.
- Proactively communicate with customers to ensure timely payment of accounts.
- Collaborate with the Credit Controller to resolve any outstanding issues.
- Prepare reconciliations to ensure invoicing accuracy.
- Assist with month-end revenue recognition tasks, including accruals and revenue reconciliations.
- Support the Revenue Accountant and Financial Accountant with VAT returns and audits.
- Maintain customer accounts and rates in internal systems.
- Provide support across all areas of the sales ledger function.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required to meet business and customer needs.
Skills & Competencies:
Required:
- Previous experience working within a finance function.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with formulas.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with individuals at all organisational levels, both internally and externally.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Proactive and self-driven attitude.
