Assistant Revenue AccountantRobert Half is seeking an Assistant Revenue Accountant to join a business in South Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a role with a strong analytical focus.

Responsibilities:

  • Issue sales invoices to customers in line with their requirements and internal processes, using in-house systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Address any issues, queries, or complaints related to customer invoices promptly.
  • Proactively communicate with customers to ensure timely payment of accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Controller to resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Prepare reconciliations to ensure invoicing accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end revenue recognition tasks, including accruals and revenue reconciliations.
  • Support the Revenue Accountant and Financial Accountant with VAT returns and audits.
  • Maintain customer accounts and rates in internal systems.
  • Provide support across all areas of the sales ledger function.
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required to meet business and customer needs.

Skills & Competencies:

Required:

  • Previous experience working within a finance function.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with formulas.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all organisational levels, both internally and externally.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Proactive and self-driven attitude.
