About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Financial Analyst. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting financial planning and analysis, month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls, fixed assets management, and various internal reporting requirements. This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to develop their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This is a Permanent role based on site with our client in Coleshill 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Fixed Assets, including capitalisation, tagging, and verification.

  • Prepare month-end journals (prepayments, accruals, stores provisions) to ensure a timely month-end close.

  • Conduct monthly stores cycle counts.

  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, documented, and completed on time.

  • Prepare the Maintenance Template and assist with the Senior Management Pack.

  • Assist in external audits, ensuring deliverables are submitted within the agreed timetable and requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to improve, challenge, and streamline existing financial processes.

  • Review and update financial policies and procedures to maintain relevance and accuracy.

  • Conduct ad hoc departmental spend reviews.

  • Provide support to the FP&A Manager on ad hoc financial queries.

Key Requirements
  • Degree (2:1 or above) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years' experience in an accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Highly organised, ambitious, and eager to develop within the manufacturing sector.

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.

  • Deadline-driven, proactive, and a team player.
