Your new companyHays are currently partnering with a government organisation based in Warwickshire, who are looking for a Treasury Manager to join their team on a permanent basisYour new roleAs the Treasury Manager, you will manage a team of 4 people and will champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting efficiency and high performance.Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of the annual budget setting process for the Housing Revenue Account, ensuring that strategic objectives for financial matters are met through effective planning.
  • To support the production of financial strategies, including the Housing Business Plan, Treasury Management Strategy and Capital Strategy
  • To act as an expert on all financial matters relating to Housing Revenue Account, Treasury Management and Collection Fund
  • Manage and co-ordinate the Housing Revenue Accounts revenue and capital budget monitoring
  • Take ownership of Treasury Management activities and Strategy
  • All VAT implications in respect of payments made and income received
  • To play a significant and leading role in the closure of the organisation's annual accounts and production of the Statement of Accounts, for the Housing Revenue Account and collection fund.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this position you will:

  • Be a Qualified Accountant with prior experience in a similar role, ideally from a public sector background
  • Have experience in Housing Revenue Accounting and Treasury
  • Have experience of managing/leading a small team
