Role: HR Service Manager - Payroll

Sector: Public Sector

Duration: 3-5 months

Location: Warwickshire - 2 days a week on site

Salary: Up to £300 UMB per day

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Service Manager to join our public sector client on an interim basis for up to 5 months. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with 2 to 3 days a week onsite

The duties of the HR Service Manager include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of the people strategy and service offer to customers to enable the organisation's visions and outcomes being achieved
  • Manging the team to deliver the delivery plans and objectives
  • Being the subject matter expert for payroll and take the organisational lead for the Payroll function
  • Setting out the organisation's payroll commercial strategy
  • Delivery of a legally compliant and effective payroll service paying approx. 33000 people across 40 different customers
  • Manging the MHR HR and Payroll system contract
  • Ensuring that the MHR system Hierarchy is maintained
  • Manging the other workforce related systems
  • Providing proactive and responsive customer service3 to ensure all queries are resolved effectively and efficiently
  • Being responsible for the service improvement team
  • Being responsible for the pension administration of a number of pension schemes including LGPS, Teaching and NHS

The HR Service Manager will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience
  • Experience within a public sector organisation
  • Experience of leading and co-ordinating projects
  • Experience of leading change withing the HROD function
  • Experience of running a busy payroll function
  • Experience of HROD system management and development.
