This is a great opportunity to join a successful and expanding Facilities Management company and to work within an ambitious team. The company is a leading provider of outsourced services operating across the UK and Ireland and is growing rapidly in the UK. We are seeking to appoint a driven Regional Manager Manufacturing to support this growth.

Main Purpose of Role

Reporting to the TFM Director, the role holder will lead, support, and guide their team of Key Account Managers in the ongoing operation and development of our cleaning and soft FM operations within controlled environments.

This includes managing cleaning and soft FM operations in manufacturing, food hygiene, pharmaceutical, and scientific research environments. Examples of specific works conducted within these environments include stripping, cleaning, and restoring processed food production lines; GMP cleaning within pharmaceutical environments; and management of receptionists, security officers, and catering services.

Initial portfolio value will be £7.5m, with scope to grow this to £10m+ over the next 12 to 18 months.

Person Specification

  • Ability and desire to lead a team of Key Account Managers in the specified area.
  • Experience managing an £8m+ portfolio of FM customers.
  • Experience delivering FM in controlled environments such as pharmaceuticals, scientific research, and automotive.
  • Experience delivering FM in food production environments.

Technical Competence

Commercial Acumen

  • Experience delivering business strategies and effective operation and management of >£2M budgets.
  • Demonstrate wider awareness of business-wide issues and how key business drivers relate to operational success.

Financial Performance

  • Responsible for every aspect of the delivery of the annual budget.
  • Control and management of debt in conjunction with the credit control team.
  • Work in partnership with the finance and commercial team to ensure financial targets are achieved and any non-performing business targeted and addressed as appropriate.
  • Benchmarking of contracts within the portfolio.
  • Drive continuously improved financial performance by increasing additional work with existing customers and permanently adding value to contracts.

Service Delivery

  • Accountable for service delivery and continuous improvement within your portfolio.
  • Retain all existing contracts and ensure protection and growth of margin.
  • Work collaboratively on upcoming business unit projects.
  • Work in partnership with the Business Development team to provide expert support.
  • Mobilisation of new contracts.
  • Identify, implement, and manage change successfully to ensure optimal levels of operational performance.

Growth & Market Leadership

  • Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Develop the reputation of the company as the partner of choice for the delivery of strategically outsourced services & solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking and developing positive working relationships.
  • Increase the number of services being provided to clients in the portfolio.
  • Through innovation and research, challenge current practices, processes, and systems, ensuring industry best practice across all contracts in your portfolio.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure the business unit is fully compliant with industry standards, relevant employment legislation, ISO, and company procedures and policies.
  • Proactively drive awareness on accident prevention.
  • Engagement of risk assessment techniques.

People Strategy

  • Work in partnership with HR to ensure effective performance management, development, and succession planning of the reporting team.
  • Ensure that communication within the unit is maximised at all levels, enabling colleagues to access timely, accurate information.
  • Endorse and promote new initiatives and ensure they are implemented within the business.
  • Manage performance in a team of managers to ensure that all targets are met.
