We have been asked to recruit an Accountant / Bookkeeper for a company based in Kettering.
*Please note this is an office-based position.
The role is initially for 12 months however this could go permanent, depending on the business’s needs.
This is a stand-alone role where you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing sales and purchase ledgers, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.
The company has been trading for over 30 years and is very niche in what they do.
Below is a small overview of what you’ll be doing…
- General bookkeeping duties
- Processing invoices and credit notes
- Reconciling supplier and customer accounts
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate accounting records
- Credit control
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Processing of monthly payroll, including EPS/FPS submissions to HMRC
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis as required
- Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts
