We are excited to offer the opportunity for a dedicated Student Services Coordinator to join The Bedford College Group at our Student Services Department. This role is instrumental in enhancing the success and experience of our students by providing essential support and guidance.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with the Student Services Manager to ensure the effective delivery of careers information, advice, and guidance to students and potential students.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of a cross-college Careers programme.
  • Lead and implement the bursary process, assess applications for financial support, and provide advice and guidance to students in need.
  • Offer a personal service, supporting students with pastoral, health/welfare, and financial matters through direct support or referrals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good all-round education including Maths and English GCSEs (Grade A – C) or equivalent (level 2).
  • Level 3 qualification (e.g., ‘A’ Levels or equivalent).
  • High level of computer literacy skills.
  • Level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance or willingness to work towards it.
  • Proven experience working with adults and young people, both 1:1 and in groups.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment and in organising events and activities.
  • Demonstrable experience providing information, advice, and guidance on learning and work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face-to-face, on the telephone, and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisation, and planning skills.
  • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity within the role.
