Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer seeking a challenging role with an established company specializing in system integration and automation? Do you have a strong background in electrical design and a desire to work on innovative projects across industries like food, manufacturing, and energy generation?

In this role, the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating and developing electrical schematics, PLC wiring diagrams, and machinery safety circuits. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver solutions that meet technical and safety standards, ensuring project success.

The ideal Electrical Design Engineer is a skilled professional with experience in electrical engineering and system design. Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems is a plus, and a solid understanding of industrial networks and safety standards is essential.

The Role:

  • Develop initial concept designs in collaboration with customers and in-house teams.
  • Create electrical schematic diagrams, panel layouts, and PLC wiring diagrams.
  • Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and order components.
  • Perform machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments (BS EN ISO 13849/60261).
  • Conduct LV distribution and cable calculations as needed.


The Person:

  • Proficiency in electrical drawings and fault-finding on existing systems.
  • Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, and SCADA software; Siemens experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, etc.).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel for projects when required.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
