We are excited to offer the opportunity for an Examinations Officer to join our dedicated Examinations department at The Bedford College Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and smooth operation of the examination process, contributing significantly to the success of our students.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Administer all aspects of the examinations process, including registration, scheduling, and certification in line with awarding body regulations.
  • Ensure the secure handling and timely dispatch of examination materials and results.
  • Maintain effective communication with college departments, students, and awarding bodies to deliver an efficient Examinations Service.
  • Assist in the production of detailed examination timetables, manage room bookings, and coordinate with invigilators.
  • Ensure compliance with all examination access arrangements, awarding body regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults in accordance with college policies.
  • Participate in training and development activities relevant to the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at grades A*-C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications.
  • Substantial administrative experience within an office environment.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data manipulation.
  • Experience handling confidential documents and information.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage deadlines and high workload periods effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Must have own transport for secure delivery of examination papers and scripts to regional sites.
