Field Service Engineer

Nottingham to Milton Keynes Coverage

42.5 Hours a Week with 1.5x Overtime Paid

£36k Circa + 24 Days Holiday plus Bank, Pension, Work Van

We are a long-standing Material Handling Equipment company who prides itself on being a multi brand dealer who are quick to react to all our customers needs with our excellent service engineer team. We are in a point of growth where we are keen to welcome a new Field Service Engineer to the family where you have the opportunity to work for a well-established company who provides the tools you need to grow and progress with us.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the upkeep of our material handling equipment; from forklift trucks, telehandlers, powered access to name a few. You will commission, maintain and service these. You will repair or replace faulty parts and also request new parts to be delivered. You will be working closely with the service coordinator for scheduled work, where you will travel out to site and build relationships with our customers and keep our strong brand image. Adhere to health and safety requirements while out on site and follow our objectives and goals.

Essential Skills

  • NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Forklift trucks
  • Strong communication and numeracy skills
  • Rapport building skills
  • Time management skills
  • Flexible and a team player
  • Experience within the material handling sector is desirable
  • A keen eye and presentable
