A production facility that provides bespoke, fully engineered manufacturing solutions to various industries is now seeking a Production Manager to drive the facility forward. With a strong track record of success, this business has ambitious plans for the coming years and is seeking a motivated Production Manager eager to make a meaningful impact.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for creating a suitable foundation on which to grow an already successful business. Making changes and improvements to various areas of the business, including the layout, workflow, tooling, machine processes, lean practices etc, you will enable them to maintain their high-quality service and production levels as their growth continues.

***Up to c£50,000 + Bonus***

As Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing a team of approximately 10, overseeing daily operations, and keeping the team motivated.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement within the factory and implementing efficient solutions.
  • Managing injection moulding machinery, optimising cycle times, and reducing waste.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures to streamline operations, improve consistency, and save time.

To be successful in the role of Production Manager, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience managing a small team of production staff.
  • Be skilled in motivating and engaging staff to get the best out of them and improve satisfaction levels.
  • Have good knowledge of injection moulding, including machinery, tools, automation, processing and materials.
  • Be skilled with lean manufacturing and process optimisation, with a track record of generating efficiencies that save money and time.
  • Have a good knowledge of other manufacturing processes such as general fabrication and assembly.
