The Role:Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to support their Operations Manager in day-to-day finance tasks. This role involves processing payments, maintaining documentation, and providing general support to ensure the smooth running of financial and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily incoming media such as mail, emails, and faxes.
- Perform due diligence for contracts, including purchasing, returns, and processing for various finance types.
- Post manual and electronic payments, account adjustments, and terminations.
- Analyse daily over payments and maintain related logs.
- Produce and distribute agreement-related documents, including invoices.
- Ensure accurate imaging and filing of agreement-related documentation.
- Manage customer direct debit databases and handle associated queries.
- Bank manual payments and maintain accurate records.
- Respond positively to inquiries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders, escalating when necessary.
- Participate in phone loops and audit contract files as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and personal development.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs, preferably including A-C in Mathematics.
- Basic financial accounting knowledge.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
