Role Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils
Work collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants and therapists to ensure consistent support
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Monitor and record pupil progress, adapting strategies as necessary
Contribute to the development of EHCPs and work in partnership with families and external professionals
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Significant experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with high or complex needs
A clear understanding of a range of SEN strategies and approaches
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Desirable:
Experience in a specialist SEN setting
Knowledge of alternative communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, or AAC systems
