The RoleYou will be working with a small group of students who require high levels of emotional support and a bespoke approach to learning. These pupils may have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and will benefit from consistent routines, therapeutic strategies, and a safe, nurturing environment.As the classroom teacher, you will:* Deliver a highly differentiated and creative curriculum tailored to individual needs* Create a predictable, structured, and trauma-informed learning environment* Work closely with pastoral and therapeutic teams to support students holistically* Implement behaviour regulation strategies using a relationship-based approach* Build trusting, consistent relationships with students who may find it hard to engage* Use a range of assessment methods to track both academic and emotional progress* Work collaboratively with families, external professionals, and SENCOs to develop and review EHCP targets and support plans________________________________________?? Who We're Looking ForWe are seeking a teacher who is:* Experienced in working with children with SEMH, ASC, anxiety, trauma and challenging behaviour* Calm, empathetic, and emotionally resilient, with a trauma-informed mindset* Confident in using de-escalation and therapeutic behaviour strategies* Skilled at adapting teaching methods and communication to meet diverse needs* Committed to inclusive education and passionate about helping every child succeed* Able to foster a warm, safe and respectful classroom culture* Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary setting, liaising with therapists, social workers, and SEN staffQualifications & Experience:* Must have a QTS* Previous experience in PRUs, alternative provisions, specialist SEN schools, or mainstream with a strong inclusion ethos is advantageous* Up-to-date safeguarding and knowledge of SEND Code of Practice is essential________________________________________�?
