TIG WELDERS, are you experienced working with aluminium? Are you looking to work in a fantastic, modern environment? Great rates of pay and long term stability?

You can grow your skills as we place you on an assignment into our client based in Newton Aycliffe, in a challenging and quality driven manufacturing environment.

Our client is a world leader in Railway Rolling Stock assembly and manufacturing. The facility's activities use the latest manufacturing and computer analysis techniques, and a state-of-the-art paint plant.

The facility is easily accessible via bus, car and train and is located just off the A1. The nearest bus/train stop is just an 11 minute walk from the facility. With routes from Sunderland, Hartlepool, Durham, Teesside and surrounding areas.

With overtime work available, you have the opportunity to maximise your earnings.

Pay Rate and Working Hours:

  • 36.5 hours per week
  • £20.59 per hour day shift
  • £24.71 per hour back shift
  • Overtime Monday - Saturday - x 1.5
  • Overtime Sunday - x 2

Shifts:

  • Days: Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 15:00
  • Back shift: Monday - Thursday, 15:00 - 23:00

About you:

  • Experienced with working on build/welding fixtures to tight tolerances
  • Have the ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Be accustomed to modern working practices e.g. following a standard work procedure
  • Carry out some manual lifting
  • Work with a sense and awareness of safety at all times
  • Previous experience of TIG welding aluminium

This is an ongoing, long term temporary contract role.

Please be aware that PPE is mandatory on the factory floor. This will include ear defenders, "T" shirts/polo shirts, overalls, safety boots and safety glasses will be supplied to you.
