School Administrator

Salary: £12 - £13.50 per hour (+ holiday pay on top)

Job Types: Long term temporary, Temporary-to-permanent, Permanent.

We are seeking experienced Administrators or Administration Assistants to support our schools within the Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes, and Buckinghamshire areas with short-term or long-term cover solutions.

Tasks you will likely be required to do as a School Administrator or Administration Assistant:

  • Phone calls: directing them to, or taking messages for, the relevant member of staff. Calling parents if a child has fallen ill during the day.
  • Data-entry: preparing lunch numbers for the kitchen staff. Signing in newcomers.
  • Prepare letters for children to take home about upcoming events/meetings.
  • Greeting visitors, checking their ID and DBS on arrival if necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Administration experience is essential; however, School administration or School Receptionist experience is ideal.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Computer literacy: Experience in using Microsoft programmes will be essential. Experience using school programmes such as ParentPay, SIMS etc, will be beneficial but not essential.
  • The ability to multitask, as the school offices can sometimes get busy!
