Data Engineer/ML-OPS

My client, a market leading innovative energy renewables company, are seeking a talented Data Engineer/MLOPS to join their growing data practice, who will be responsible for supporting the overall Data Engineering Infrastructure.

This individual will play a key part in the contribution of the design, development and continuous improvement of their data engineering tools, workflows and processes.

This Data Engineer will communicate with the Software and Data Science teams and must be a forward-thinking individual with excellent communication skills, who has the ability to integrate new data management technologies.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Strong experience as a Data Engineer
  • Extensive Python experience
  • Excellent Data pipe lining building experience
  • Familiarity with time-series forecasting and/or optimisation.
  • Experience of developing tooling and improving back testing frameworks
  • Experience of orchestrating machine learning workflows.
  • Experience centralising diverse datasets for analytics, visualisation and machine learning.
  • Proficiency with Orchestration and IaC in AWS (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Airflow), Git, containerisation (Docker), database management (e.g. Postgres, Alembic)
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks (e.g. Prometheus).
  • Experience archiving data to Parquet on S3 and creating tools for API/Grafana queries.
  • Knowledge of UK power markets would be advantageous.
