Are you an Oxford based Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue/Digital looking for a new exciting role to join a company who are world leaders in navigation systems?

My client are looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue/Digital to join their R&D team in Oxford, to design and maintain hardware and embedded software for their legacy products. This opportunity will include all aspects of products design from initial concept through to production.

The responsibilities for this Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue/Digital are:

- Develop complex hardware for existing and new products, covering the full product life cycle

- Develop the embedded software for microprocessors covering the full software life cycle

- Capture customer/user requirements, then design, develop, test and maintain software

- Manage complex projects; plan, track and manage development tasks. Work to deadlines and adapt plans as necessary to meet project objectives

- Install, use, and maintain tools and technologies such as PCB design tools and software development environments

The skills/experience needed for this Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue/Digital is:

- Good experience and knowledge of schematic capture, PCB design and layout for complex systems

- Good firmware/ embedded C/C++ experience in real time systems

- Experience of testing firmware for low to medium volume production

- Experience of working with inertial sensors / inertial navigation systems or Digital Signal Processing is desirable

- Practical networking experience (Ethernet, CAN, etc.) Is desirable
