Are you ready to join a dynamic civil engineering organisation that is at the forefront of delivering practical solutions to complex challenges? We are currently seeking an Assistant Company Secretary to join our client's team based in Oxfordshire.

As the Assistant Company Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting the company's governance and compliance activities, ensuring that all legal requirements are met. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Company Secretary and the wider leadership team, contributing to the success of our client's organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Company Secretary in managing the corporate governance framework and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Support the preparation of board and committee meetings, including agenda creation, meeting papers, and minutes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date company records, including statutory filings and documentation.
  • Conduct research and provide assistance on legal and compliance matters as directed by the Company Secretary.
  • Support the management of the organisation's policies, procedures, and risk framework.
  • Assist in the coordination of the annual general meeting and other company events.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on governance matters.
  • Undertake general administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the Company Secretary's office.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of company law and corporate governance principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
