The Role

Education Boutique is seeking a specialist in-person tutor to provide up to 2.5 hours per week of 1:1 academic support for a student based in West Oxfordshire. The role involves delivering:

  • KS3 - GCSE Science - 2.5 hours

All sessions will take place during daytime hours, Monday to Friday, and are delivered in person only. This is an ongoing role supporting a student with complex needs, including SEN, SEMH, PDA, and ASD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, in-person tutoring in KS3 - GCSE Science

  • Tailor sessions to meet the needs of a learner with a complex SEND profile

  • Use trauma-informed and pupil-led approaches to foster engagement and progress

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with the student to encourage confidence and participation

  • Track and report on progress, adapting plans as needed to ensure continued development

Essential Requirements
  • Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Science

  • Demonstrated experience supporting learners with SEN, SEMH, PDA, ASD, ADHD, and EBSA

  • Trauma-informed teaching approach

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

  • Happy to work self-employed and right to work in the UK

  • Availability during weekday daytime hours

  • Reliable transport to attend in-person sessions in Bicester
